Jeep Patriot Oil Reset
An engine oil change indicator system is built into your car. After a single chime, the “Change Oil” warning will flash in the instrument cluster odometer for approximately 12 seconds to indicate when the next scheduled oil change interval begins.
The engine oil change warning system is duty cycle based, which implies the timing of your next oil change may vary depending on your driving habits. This message will reappear each time you switch the ignition key to the ON/RUN position unless it is reset.
To turn off the alert for a period of time, press and release the Trip Odometer button on the instrument cluster. To reset the oil change indicator system (after doing the scheduled maintenance), follow these steps.
